Trancestors evokes our queer trailblazers in a performance ritual. With the golden jubilee of trans activist Sylvia Rivera's groundbreaking "Gay Power" speech in New York, the performance pays tribute to the activist movements surrounding the Stonewall uprisings as well as to Swiss LGBTQIA+ history, in particular the trans* icon Coco. Through movement, sound and audio fragments the piece captures the raw energy of sacred resistance and conjures the spirits of our trancestors.
