Sunnig Aar creates instrumental music centred on the pedal steel guitar, with a sound somewhere between Hermanos Gutiérrez and cinematic ambient country. Thanks to drum machines and cassette devices, his instrumental music attains a dimension worthy of the echoes of barren Alpine valleys. In the new composition “Im Mai”, the pedal steel guitar leads the gently psychedelic journey, supported by a tabla drum that moves with the steady rhythm of falling rain.
