We, Students for Palestine in Zürich, warmly invite you all to our first fundraiser for Gaza.

We decided to heed the global call for action, and join Students for Palestine worldwide, in raising funds to provide material aid, and transition towards the rebuilding of Gaza, and we need your help!

With more than 90 student movements from across the globe, we’re fundraising to deliver food, medicine, hygiene kits and even conducting small surgeries in Gaza.

Join us on Thursday, March 20th, in Zentralwäscherei, for a night of art for and from Palestine.
Program:

👉 18:30—Film screenings: Shorts

1. Moonscape, 17 mins (2020), Mona Benyamin
   In the form of a ballad’s music video, Benyamin retraces the story of a man claiming ownership of the moon and connects it to her struggle as a Palestinian woman living under the israeli occupation.
2. A Plate of Sardines, 17 mins (1998), Omar Amiralay
   Amiralay retells us of the first time he heard of israel. Through recorded conversations with fellow Syrian filmmaker Mohammad Malas, we revisit the destroyed Golan village of Quneytra.
3. The Visit, 9 mins (1970), Qais Al-Zubaidi
   Al-Zubaidi uses poetry, drawing, music and pantomime to recount a murder in occupied Palestine.

👉 19:30—Open Mic
Performances for Palestine, in the form of poetry, songs, storytelling, dance, or short theatrical pieces. We aim to provide a safe space that welcomes displays of all kinds of emotions.
