The singer Shtrigat will open the event with a musical performance in Albanian, which she produced especially for this project. This will be followed by a screening of the poetry film Between Us.
The film explores the gap between generations, the clash of world views and the unbreakable bond of maternal love. It touches on themes such as acceptance, the pursuit of freedom and the uncertainty that comes with such changes. Visually and poetically, the film captures this emotional journey, highlighting the tension between tradition and modernity and the unwavering bond between mother and daughter.
Following the film, we will present interviews with the nine mothers who participated in the film, providing insights into their personal experiences. The evening will conclude with a panel discussion, moderated by Migmar Dolma, which will explore the themes of the film and shed light on the tension between tradition and modernity and the changing role of motherhood in a changing world.
