What does District 5 sound like? What noises are being displaced by gentrification? How do the noises affect the people living there?
People? What sounds move us?

Together with the Stadtorchester, we will listen to the change of our city through movement and musical improvisation. The performances will take place at three different stations. Dealing with the effects of gentrification in District 5 plays a central role.

The Stadtorchester is made up of city activists and improvisation-based musicians. It includes urban planning and the, appropriated by people and nature, brownfield sites.

The Stadtorchester will perform a musical experimental improvisation with field recordings from the Sound Dérive* on Oct. 26. The musical improvisation will be expanded with practices such as deep listening, meditation and dance.

The event is open to everyone. No prior knowledge or dance experience is required. Come alone, with your friends, to dance, listen, watch, or reflect!

The artists and collaborators Jeanne van Heeswijk and Sophie Mak-Schram, as part of a growing group of people around the area of the Migros Museum of Contemporary Art, have invited people, who organize themselves in the Streikhaus and Stadtorchester to reflect together on and with the museum's thresholds.

We look forward to see you!
