This year's Architektur FilmTage Zürich will take place on October 20-21, 2023.
This year, the film festival offers a two-day film program with panels on thematic areas of architecture and urbanism in particular.
Architektur FilmTage Zürich is launching a new online platform. Architecture films throughout Switzerland will be available on ARCHITHEKA.
A special highlight of this year's edition are two short films from Ukraine that will be available online throughout Switzerland for two weeks (starting October 20). These are the first two films on the platform, and the list of films will grow.

BATTLESHIP BERLIN

Berlin's brutalist legacy is in danger. The city's powerful Charité hospital wants to destroy a brutalist symbol from the Cold War era: the infamous former animal research lab called the Mouse Bunker. Meanwhile, a dedicated group of politicians, preservationists, architects, gallery owners and students are fighting for an adaptive reuse of these magnificent, uncompromisingly unique structures.
Who will win?
Regardless of the outcome, the impression remains that historic preservation can be brutal.

For others, an iconic masterpiece of world architecture.The Zawodzie neighborhood (Ustroń, Poland) was designed by a duo of renowned Silesian architects - Henryk Buszko and Aleksander Franta.This film discusses the questions of who should have power over the landscape and how to be responsible as a community for its heritage.
