Biodiversity finds itself in a crisis.
In Switzerland, half of the habitats and a third of the species are under threat.

During the Spalt im Asphalt action days, we want to explore the biodiversity crisis in its various facets: creatively, collectively and concretely. Spalt im Asphalt raises awareness of the role of humans in the shared habitat and asks: What creatures do we share Zurich with? Who is there room for in this city?

On the action days, we approach soil creatures, encounter mushrooms in the Sihlfeld cemetery and break up asphalt. Workshops, an exhibition, excursions and film screenings will take place over two days in and around the Zentralwäscherei.
