DACH Ukrainian Solidarity Day Festival)
Through this festival we invite you to join a gathering dedicated to reflection, cultural exchange, and community support. In the face of ongoing war and displacement, this festival seeks to amplify Ukrainian voices, preserve cultural memory, and strengthen connections across communities in Switzerland.
Book Presentation & Panel Talk
We are honored to present Russian Colonialism 101 by Max Eristavi - a Ukrainian queer writer, journalist, and activist currently based in Prague. Through a decolonial perspective, the book examines the historical and ongoing structures of Russian imperialism. The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion and Q&A, offering space for critical dialogue on decolonisation.
Art Market & +380 Collective Merch Stand
Our art market provides a platform for emerging and often underrepresented Ukrainian artists, makers, and designers to share and sell their work. The market is also open to wider participation through an open call, encouraging exchange between Ukrainian and local creative communities.
Music & Choir Intervention
Throughout the day, ambient and live music performances will create a space for reflection and connection, featuring Ukrainian and local musicians. A special Ukrainian choir intervention will serve as a collective mourning ritual, honouring shared memory and resilience.
Food & Workshop
Traditional Ukrainian food will be served, offering an introduction to the country’s culinary heritage. The bread-making workshop will guide participants in creating traditional Ukrainian ritual breads - shaped with symbolic forms tied to community, protection, and the agricultural cycle. Through a registration that will be opened for everyone, this hands-on session celebrates shared knowledge and the deep cultural meaning of bread.
This festival is an invitation to stand together - to learn, listen, and support. Your presence contributes to keeping Ukrainian culture visible, valued, and alive.
All the raised funds will be donated to the humanitarian organisations in Ukraine.
