The seventh season will be opened by singer-songwriter Sven Amadeus. Friday, September 12, 12:30–1:00 p.m. in the central laundry room. Admission is free!

Winterthur native Sven Amadeus will play songs from his debut EP Farewell to a Love Unsung as well as tracks from his upcoming new EP Goddamn Dreamer Boy on the piano. He brings minimalist, acoustic songs to the stage that he wrote at home and produced himself in part – he describes his style as somewhere between Bon Iver, Arctic Monkeys, and FINNEAS. After the love songs of his first breakup EP, this time he strikes a more political and philosophical tone. Poignant lyrics meet chords that are sometimes very simple and sometimes almost Billy Joel-esque. He himself calls the whole thing “lyrical movie pop” – whether that fits remains to be seen.
