Gornyatko - a series of community kitchen events, with a focus on shaping and developing the Ukrainian community in Zurich, bringing it together with the Zurich citizens. These events have a solidarity base, meaning that all the evening profits will be donated to charity organisations in Ukraine.

Cooking is a fundamental cultural tradition in Ukraine, which is forwarded from generation to generation, as a non-verbal memory. It is considered to be a sacred intimate practice, which intends care, generosity, and hospitality. Gornyatko will aim to recreate a warm family-like atmosphere, where people could get closer together and feel cared for.

For this Gornyatko, lovely Ukrainian mothers will be cooking one of the most famous and delicious Ukrainian dishes - Varenyky (salty and sweet versions)

The musical part of the evening will be managed by Anch0us - a dj and designer from Kharkiv, who will play a kaleidoscopic ambient set.

Donations will be forwarded to the Ukrainian NGO of paramedics “Hospitallers”
