„miZik“ ist ein Konzertreihe, mit jeweils zwei Bands pro Abend, die monatlich in der Zentralwäscherei Zürich stattfinden wird. Auf der kleinen, kompakten Bühne im Restaurant Kleinwäscherei präsentieren wir eine Vielfalt an Musik. Mit Sounds basierend auf Grooves, Rhythmen und Melodien, die für das innereuropäische Ohr eher ungewohnt sind, füllen wir eine Lücke in der hiesigen Konzertlandschaft.

Nelia Masengu
Dreamy, minimalist, new: Nelia Masengu makes music that is created between Bern, Zurich and Basel. Her songs, sung in English and French, create a gentle and warm atmosphere. The emotionally charged lyrics meet a calm and honest voice that conveys comfort. Between Plattenbau and Limmat, her songs were created in August 2023, produced by Kevin Wettstein (Melodiesinfonie) and recorded together with her drummer Jasper Wermuth. Her music is characterised by improv sessions with her father, the many evenings in Marian's Jazzroom in Bern, explorations of Black culture and influences from R'n'B. Live, Nelia Masengu is supported by a band that manages to bring her voice into focus with an unobtrusive sound. The band with Jasper Wermuth on drums, Pablo Moritz on bass, Sofie Frey on piano and Rada Cornu as backing vocalist is looking forward to performing the songs from "dualités" live.

Evita Koné
Evita Koné is a Hip Hop, soul & RnB artist from Geneva, Switzerland who combines rapping and singing with equal virtuosity. Originally from Chad, the United States and Switzerland, she writes & performs in her mothertongue language of English, and embodies her complex identity representing issues such as feminism and antiracism. On top of her solo work, she is known as part of the Hip Hop group Captains of the Imagination. A prolific performer, she has graced the stages of world-renowned festivals such as Montreux Jazz and is the winner of the 2022 Swiss Live Talents award.
