The Oscar-nominated film is a documentary chronicle about the non-violent resistance of a Palestinian farmer against the Israeli occupation.

In 2005, Emad Burnat buys his first camera to document the birth of his fourth son Gibreel. Emad comes from the Palestinian village of Bil'in, which peacefully resisted when the Israeli army occupied land belonging to the village to make way for Israeli settlers. Over the years, Emad documents the escalating conflict, which ultimately costs lives and leads to the construction of a wall between Bil'in and the new Israeli settlement. Five of his cameras are destroyed during his work and each has a story to tell.
